Abstract

Pesantren are traditional Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia which have an important role in shaping the character and religious understanding of their santri. However, there are still significant differences in the quality of facilities and infrastructure between one pesantren and another. Therefore, it is important to look at the standardization of facilities and infrastructure in pesantren in order to improve the quality of Islamic education for santri. The facilities and infrastructure needed to facilitate activities in the pesantren. Mosques, dormitories and study rooms are important places in the context of religious and spiritual education in Islamic boarding schools. This research was conducted to answer how the existing facilities and infrastructure in pesantren. To answer this, a literature review was carried out on related references. This article finds that the facilities and infrastructure in Islamic boarding schools are very diverse. In general, facilities and infrastructure at Islamic boarding schools include dormitories, places of worship, learning buildings, and simple bathing areas
