Abstract

The Book of Risalah Ahlis Sunnah written by KH. Hasyim Asy'ari is one of the most important books to be studied by nahdiyyin, especially for generation of NU because they are it contains the basic principles of religious and state methods which moderate. KH. Hasyim Asy'ari's thoughts is the antidote from all diseases of intolerance, radicalism, and extremism which threatens the integrity of the nation today. History shows that KH. Hasyim Asy'ari is one of the figure who able to reconcile between religion and the concept of nationality in the formulation “hubbul wathan minal iman”.
